School Pilgrimage

Following a visit from a pilgrim on her way to Glasgow for COP26 with the 'coat of hopes,' Danehill children were inspired to go on a pilgrimage. We learnt what a pilgrimage is and why some people choose to embark on these journeys.

Our first school pilgrimage saw us journey together, from Danehill to Wowo campsite. Throughout the journey we allowed time for self-reflection and to connect with each other and the world around us.

Our second pilgrimage was inspired by the idea that our school could seek to grow our own forest.

This summer, our pilgrimage ended at the dedicated area where our children planted trees to grow our children's forest that, last year, was just a seed of an idea.
